Check out the cool work we have been doing on measurement.

We have looked at perimeter. This was cool as the children had to draw a house using the measurements given.

We have also looked at volume and capacity.

Last week we looked at liters and milliliters.
We had to work out how much water a bucket can hold.

At the end of the week we got to use our skills of measuring liters and milliliters by making some tasty home made lemonade. The class had so much fun squeezing the lemons, adding the sugar and mixing all the ingredients together.

Check out the pictures and recipe below.

Homemade Lemonade
What you'll need
·         4 large lemons
·         1/2 cup sugar
·         1 L. cold water
·         300ml of hot water.

How to make it
1.   Slice the lemons in half and squeeze each of them into a large measuring cup. Remove any seeds if you can.

2.   In your jug, combine the lemon juice, sugar and hot water. Stir!!!

3.   Now put the rest of the water in the jug and give it a good stir.

Serves 4 to 5 people.

Hi Guys

Well what a great day Room 9 had on Friday. I was so proud of the class for the awesome assembly item we did. Each child played an important role. I was so happy with the way everyone spoke with clear voices, smiled, and the confidence you showed in front of the school was amazing.

Thank you to all the parents who came and watched. The support was amazing. For those parents who could not make it to school on the day here is the video of the assembly item. Thank you to Charlotte and Kharn from our buddy class for filming the item for us.
